Meet Diverso
When two coffee nerds fall in love, the result is a really good cup of coffee. Quique and Natalia met in a coffeeshop in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Although they come from unique backgrounds, they bonded over their love of coffee, music, and learning. Both of them have a huge love for specialty coffee and each morning brew a few special cups of coffee to start the day.
Diverso was founded as a way to share stories and find community through coffee. Whether you are a casual coffee consumer or a coffee farmer spending each day surrounded by beans, we have something in common. We believe that both coffee producers and consumers should be able to share, discuss, and relate to one another despite differences in culture or language. We hope to facilitate a connected space where we can all share in something we love.

Owner & Founder
Born in Puerto Rico, Quique has a long history of working in coffee. One of his first jobs was as a barista and his love of coffee has only grown over the last 15 years. He has had experience at every level of the seed to cup process, including working on a coffee farm, roasting coffee, and managing specialty coffee shops in San Juan, PR and Portland, OR. You can usually find him roasting or brewing coffee, playing music, or hanging out with his wife and/or dog, an American Bully named Benicio.

Born and raised in Oregon, Natalia has been working with coffee for over a decade. One of their first jobs was as a barista at a local café where they discovered their love of coffee and the amazing space it can create for people to connect and relate to each other. Natalia has since worked in many different roles related to coffee including barista training, coffee roasting, and management for several different specialty coffee shops. They went to college for linguistics and international studies and loves the idea of using coffee as a method to relate to each other despite language barriers.
